Well, in fairness, I’d have to disagree with that almost categorically. Forgiveness absolutely requires that one no longer seek punishment, or else it’s just a meaningless word.

By that definition, I am unwilling to forgive. Some crimes demand hard time be served, and this is one of them. To not require that time to be served trivializes the offense.
