Nuance Alert: I voted to keep the segregationist language in the AL constitution. It was supported by our Dem groups and the NAACP. The proprosed amendment removing it was accidentally or deliberately worded to remove the state’s obligation to educate anyone’s children.

That just makes it even MORE messed up. I mean, holding public education hostage?
