Facts Not a Stumbling Block for Malkin

I first read about this story yesterday morning [in an on-line Taunton Gazette article] … at the time, I thought the actions by the teacher and the school’s administration seemed rather insensitive [which appeared to be exacerbated by a mention that the student is developmentally challenged]. Also, it would appear that before this story got some legs nationally, the family of the child had requested that their anonymity be honored [in the interests of their child].

I live in a Boston suburb: while watching TV during dinner last night, this story was breaking news on one of the local news stations … the father was interviewed [and identified] and appeared to say many of the things a suing plaintiff, carefully coached by an attorney, might say.

Whatever … at this point, I am going to wait for the dust to settle before being definitive in an opinion on this situation.
