Did you conveniently forget to mention the financial benefits which you were able to enjoy as a result of this arrangement?

Yeah. I forgot to mention that I was not eligible to receive any overtime payment for the 10+ hour days I worked. I also forgot to mention that I received absolutely no health insurance benefits, so I was forced to pay $550 a month for COBRA coverage. Oh, and if I had been fired I would not have been eligible for any unemployment benefits because of my “arrangement.”

Oh, and I still was forced to pay my full income tax on what was earned. I don’t know how the people mentioned in the article managed to get away with under-reporting, but I sure as hell didn’t. I got my 1099 from CBS that reflected in full every last cent they paid me out.

So, explain to me exactly what the benefit to me was?
