Some things, however, have actually gotten cheaper in price when inflation is taken into account.

Televisions, for example. A good TV has cost about $500 all my life. Not for the first adaptors, of course, but eventually the price comes down to around $500.

I’m seeing plasma and LCDs edging down towards $500 now.
