Take the Violence Against Women Act, for example. First you have every male GOP Senator voting against its extension, whining that it was a “poison bill” because amongst the added provisions was one that added visas for undocumented workers subject to abuse.

Now, the House GOP are looking to piss off women even more by not only stripping those additional visas, but writing new rules that would allow the abusers to know that the target of their abuse blew the whistle.

One very prominent GOP male Senator voted for the extension: That man was John McCain. The DNC graphic only listed the GOP men who voted ‘no’ and the women who voted yes, it did not show the GOP men who voted ‘yes’.

Let’s not get too heavy on the hyperbole here, even though the GOP deserves the scorn it gets nowadays; my two senators (Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker of TN), along with Diaperman David Vitter of LA voted to reauthorize VAWA, were the only three Southern GOP senators to do so, IIRC.
