Good point, but ethically thinking this through-I have the obligation to influence as I can the outcome of the legislative debate as available. Calling my Senators staff and registering my support or opposition is the ethical answer. If I have money ditto in campaign donations. If I get that expensive sit down with the Senator at a funding dinner, I’ll make my points. The military budget is a done deal. This bill is not. Ethically and practically intact I think. (hope)

I wasn’t speaking about the health care bill. This would only apply with a public option or government run program. It would however present a dilemma with the Equal Protection Clause.
