Huh, I never noticed the spinner on the karma count before.

To me there’s not a lot of difference whether it’s actual commentary/trolling or some other stuff I’d rather not see—like certain tweets, photos, etc.

I (and others) have asked Charles to give us the ability to ignore or mute other members so we don’t have to waste time scrolling past a bunch of stuff we find annoying, but it hasn’t happened yet and I’m guessing it might never.

But whatever, you know? It’s Charles’ blog and it’s his prerogative to run it as he wishes. As long as the pros continue to outweigh the cons (for me, personally) I’ll keep coming back. Charles has probably seen thousands of people come & go, so I assume he’s well aware of how people react.

I probably only noticed the spinners because I notice that kind of stuff in web designs.

I think at one point there was an LGF greasemonkey script that allowed you to hide certain users. I know there was one for Balloon Juice. I used it on a couple of people there. I do find the loading of the Tweet cards from Twitter to be a bit annoying, but not so much as the actual content of some Tweets. Gad, there are some morons out there.

And I agree, it’s his prerogative, and he seems to do a good job of tending the comment garden.

I reiterate, the spinning was just my pet peeve of the day. Hopefully it dies down. :)
