You’d think that a group of people willing to die for their cause and a group of people willing to kill for theirs would be mutually compatible.

I know this isn’t a joking matter, but what would be the worst thing that could happen if the protesters were allowed to just jump up and down behind the fence shouting (maybe tear down a few sections) and burn themselves out after six or eight hours? It’s a protest - not an invasion.

Because if the Israelis establish the precedent that they’ll allow mobs of people to tear down sections of fence and cross over the Palestinians will use that as a method to resume suicide bombings inside of Israel. The border fence is the only thing preventing suicide bombings and to let Palestinians cross at will just defeats the purpose.
No other country in the world would allow this. Why should Israel be expected to allow it?
