I’m going to try. Things aren’t quite the same since they stopped sending in the aircraft carrier JFK or Kitty Hawk along with the rest of the ships from their battle groups.

They don’t bring in the nuclear carriers because of the non-nukes politics, even those are the very ships that defend the nation against terrorists and the bad guys. It’s asinine.

Fleet week is definitely special and it’s great to see all the sailors in uniform getting the royal treatment throughout the city.
