Beats me. If you look at the article it does give the clear impression that the guy’s a nut, so it’s not like they’re endorsing his claims. They even quote a Boeing spokesperson who says as tactfully as possible that anyone looking at this guy’s suit is going to know what he’s all about.

The P-I is pretty crappy though, that’s true.

As far as the PI article, I thought they considered the Boeing suit newsworthy as in “News of the Weird.” Just crazy stuff, for entertainment sake, like the “dumb crooks” series. I enjoy such stuff, myself. A break from the grind, and I feel smart by comparison. :)
