Has anyone stopped to think how stupid this makes our nation look? I mean we’re facing a government shutdown over something that should be a MATTER OF SIMPLE PROCEDURE in most circumstances, same goes for the debt ceiling.

It’s sad to see everything turned into a massive fight where the focus is not on compromising and governing but beating your opponent up as badly as possible.
