It’s what happens when the ACLU becomes top-heavy with libertarians.

They’ve always been libertarian fundamentalists but they have been important in challenging real and uncomfortable civil rights cases. Supporting the rights of racists to hold marches, questioning the treatment of terrorists, the constitutionality of airport security, etc. But this is just paranoid bullshit.
