Portugal has them too but they don’t kill the bull there. I am not sure if it’s on its way out or not honestly. On the one hand as I said, the younger generation of Spainards finds the practice horrendous but there’s a lot of tourism money that the country gets from the bullfights.

They don’t kill the bull in the arena, that is illegal, but the bull is still killed once it leaves the ring. Bull fighters don’t like fighting bulls that have been in the ring before because the bull might learn their distraction tricks and go for the fighter instead of the cape.
