I do not get corporate America at all.

HP needs to be made into a case study supporting the thesis that US management ideas are often worse than useless, especially the MBA/bean counter way of running things.

As far as I can tell, it is as pure an example of a great company being driven into the ground by mismanagement as exists.

Such case studies are done in B-schools, which are the root of the problem, so something useful like this isn’t likely to happen.
