one of our divers is a bee-keeper. He says the way you collect a swarm is to spray some sugar water on them, they get full and sleepy, and you can just sort of gather them up. He also said that he would never charge to collect a swarm, that there aren’t enough bees as it is, and every bit helps.

He also said that a good spray for wasps and hornets is a 50/50 mix of DAWN dish soap (he was very specific on that) and water. Kill them almost instantly, it gets between the plates on their bodies apparently. Plus there is no residue left that’s dangerous.

Dawn (yes, just Dawn) is great on cars too, when they’re really dirty.
