This is of note……a passenger told Sky News that he noticed “…a chemical smell came from the train and then a stampede followed as people ran.”

He described the item on the train as a “white builder’s bucket” with flames coming from it, wires hanging from it and emitting a strong smell of chemicals.

He added: “A chemical smell more than a burning smell.”

Maybe some kind of attempted chemical weapon attack? Or simply using easily-available chemicals to construct an explosive IED?

I guess we’ll find out as soon as the Metropolitan Police do their investigation. And hopefully they’ll find the assclown who did this PDQ; I’d imagine CCTV footage is being closely scrutinized as I write this.
