I think there’s a tax break for companies that pay for tuition of current employees, up to about $5k or so. But then you run into problems where companies will expect an employee to stay on the payroll for a while or refund them the money.
I got a bonus when I hired here that required me to stay for 18 months. I don’t see a requirement for staying being that bad, as long as it’s limited.
