No, I’m seeing a distinct pattern here. KT is arguing against damaging someone’s livelihood. ‘Getting them fired.’ Unless you are their employer, in which case it is apparently OK.
To which I say: cry me a river. You get obscenely rich by the talk show, you get slightly smacked on the hand by the talk show.
Right. So it’s OK for a company to fire an employer over offensive content but the public can’t pressure companies into firing someone over offensive content. IOW, we basically have a sort of corporate supremacy at work here. The public should wait for corporations to make those decisions and the public should play no part in pressuring these companies.
