I like it when parts of the media complain that other parts of the media are biased. I actually think the media’s been a little too soft on Romney. Not biased in his favor mind you but not hitting him hard for his flip flopping.

I think the media in general has been soft on both candidates although the fact checkers have been a source for reporters to call out some of the BS. Technically speaking, by Pew’s metric, you could say the fact checkers were biased against Romney since they labeled his claims false more often. You could also say the pollsters are biased against Romney because they show Obama doing better. But the argument doesn’t hold up because the fact checkers and the pollsters use the same methodology for both sides so they are being fair. The fringe partisan cable networks (MSNBC/FOX) don’t use the same criteria when judging both sides so they’re coverage becomes skewed.
One of the things I’ve noticed about the accusations of “Magic Balance Fairy” is that people start to think their side is somehow immune and cannot be judged by the same standard. It’s faulty logic.
