It’s good that you try to fight against the tide but that doesn’t mean the tide doesn’t exist. My father, brother and 4 nieces and nephews live in Alabama. I’ve spent several years living there myself and I can attest from first hand experience that racism is deeply rooted in the culture and as common as red clay.
Fighting against it is good, pretending it doesn’t exist is invalid imo.</blockquote>
Pretending it ONLY exists there, and amongst all, is just as invalid. In my most humble opinion.
