This has touched me personally - my mother is undergoing treatment for stage IV lung cancer - she’s on the best treatment regime we can find (and believe me when I say I’ve done a lot of research, sought four separate opinions, and I even know all too well what EFGR’s are and which populations respond best to TK inhibitor treatment). Meanwhile my sisters are looking everywhere for something hopeful since survival prognosis past 18 months is <12 pct.
I go through each pseudo pscience treatment center link they send me, and it’s heartbreaking to have to debunk each in turn for them. Some of these discussions result in tears, but so far they are sticking with me on not falling for the snake oil.
