Yep. And most of us are burning coal right now to power or computers. Ironic isn’t it? And coal kills 1000s more people per year than nuclear. But nuclear of course still has that emotional and irrational stigma. It’s like comparing airline disasters to car crashes. The former being the safer mode of transportation. Fukushima is like an airline crash and coal is like 1000 more car crashes every single day. But wait! So I hear there’s a magical answer to our energy needs other than coal AND nuclear.

You see folks, Gus and I have different vies on many things. But one thing we agree on is that meeting our country’s power needs involves trade-offs and careful thought. So we tend to oppose ostrich thinking, and when some one sticks their head in the sand we delight in kicking them in the butt.
