Yes, that’s part of modernizing the the national vehicle fleet. There’s nothing in Obama’s statement that the cars traded in will be destroyed. They’ll be resold as they always have. This is not the end of used cars.

Killgore, I’m going to call you naive on this one. There are countries out there that do make it tough to maintain an older vehicle. How long until this happens with this Congress and this President? It is the top of a slippery slope as someone upthread stated. There are some zealots out there, and you have to be very careful when they get near positions of power.
