They aren’t serious about it though. I’m sure they have plans sitting around and gathering dust but they never put any serious effort into them. They had their opportunity when they controlled congress and when the had the White House. They could have passed some serious reforms but chose not to. It’s just not a cause that they are interested in. They can cooperate on this bill if they wanted to but they won’t. Healthcare reform would have to come from the Dems because they are the only party interested in it.
