I’ve never been happy with liberals’ appropriation of “progressive” as a meaningless, nice-sounding euphemism for “liberal.” I personally have some values that could be described as liberal-leaning, and I don’t think that “liberal” is a dirty word. Even so, I find “progressive” to be dishonest and insulting.

Maybe conservatives should come up with some even more meaningless, nice-sounding euphemism for “conservative.” How about “reasonable” or “intelligent.” Maybe just “good.”
