Oh CSI you never fail me.

Investigator says “Transport the 2 suspects in separate cars so they can’t work out their story.”

The very next scene, the same investigator is watching the 2 suspects, sitting together in an interrogation room, and says to a colleague “Let them sweat for a bit.”

I gave up on CSI ages ago, right around the time the writers decided the characters were expendable.
