It’s awful the way they get businesses or other organizations to turn it into a competition. Giving should come from the heart, not from a desire to win a freakin’ Kewpie doll.

I did not give to them this year for the first time. My husband and I decided that we would make other charity choices when we saw some links with ACORN. They are so pushy about it at work that it just got to me.
