Well, I will happily say that the hangers-on attracted by things like the Occupy protests include vandals and anarchists, and that the Tea Party types didn’t attract the same crowd. It is easier for the vandals to blend in with the Occupy people. It’s easier for white supremacists, militia members, and JBS people to blend in at the Tea Party protests.

The notable difference being that Occupy does a lot to get the creeps out or to differentiate themselves. Haven’t seen that from Tea Parties.
