In Florida you get 10 years automatic for robbing a 7-11 with a gun. 20 if you shoot the gun and life if you shoot someone.
DUI/Manslaughter is 15 years (although there is sometimes a plea deal)

But for the DWI, the thing that that sets the fatal accident dice tumbling, you might pull a stiff fine or an overnighter the first several times. DWI is obviously a protected decision process.
