Bit of an off-topic question for the night crew - has anyone else here had to deal with this year’s variety of the flu bug?

Asking because I usually forego the vaccine because every time I’ve gotten vaccinated I invariably end up catching it anyways, and the times I’ve skipped I’ve avoided being affected. I think that might have been an unwise decision this year. First time in more than a decade I’ve had to deal with fever (peaked yesterday at 102 degrees) - and still no sign of letting up. Feeling like total crap is not at all fun. I can only hope my regiment of bed rest, Nyquil, hydration with orange juice, Gatorade and water along with chicken noodle & hot and sour soup (because even looking at solid food right now makes me queasy) will do the trick eventually.
