LVQ answered the ‘How do we know humans are a principal cause of global warming’ for me, as opposed to natural phenomena or a combination of factors.

He explained about the rate of change.

Natural phenomena or combinations of natural phenomena occur at a certain rate that can be measured.

Current global warming can be attributed primarily to human contribution because those contributions, when added up, point to accelerated warming. That isn’t to say there might not be natural climatological phenomena involved, but even if there is, the change is accelerated by human activity.

The ratio of carbon isotopes is also convincing.
