We have twenty-six letters and no accent marks at all! We force the Latin alphabet to do crap it never thought was possible! We use the same bizarre combinations of letters to spell four or five different sounds!

Though if you think it through you’ll see there are enough exceptions that it’s not all that difficult…cough.
