Lol, exactly :)

re: #685 Nimed

I sure did, just arrived.

Radical Islam is a worldwide threat, every day, and it’s something that I think this country is just getting use to, in the sense that we can’t let it get in the way of trying to lead “normal” lives. I remember Paris back in the middle 90’s, Metro stations blowing up in rush hour, as the years went by, they adapted, went on with their everyday, now you see para-military security with AK-47’s hanging around town.

But I don’t see the French people or press obsessed with it. I’ve been there 6 times in the last 10 years. I’ve spoke to people on this subject, it’s scary stuff, but they aren’t unhinged by it.

I think I see that in this country now, not a complacency, but an awareness that is healthy… the unhealthy aspects of radical Islam is sometimes not Islam itself, but people like Spencer and Geller, who have made a cottage industry out of it and rely on a daily does of fear mongering and hatred.

That’s more of a threat than anything. A threat to a healthy balance in regards to this problem. We don’t need out and out racism and bigotry on top of a real and honest threat that radical Islam has become to the world.
