Gawker Fires Back at Chuck C. Johnson, Moves to Dismiss, Files Anti-SLAPP, Asks for Legal Fees

The moment Chucky had this filed in Missouri, you could see this coming from across the country. There was no reason that the case was filed there, especially given that Gawker is a NY-based company and Chucky is based out of CA. It was done with the express attempt to try and circumvent the CA anti-SLAPP provisions.

There is no way any of this will end well for Chucky. None.

Chucky is going to be finding that losing access to Twitter is the least of his problems.

And I can’t say I’m sorry any of this is happening to him. He deserves every last bit of it.

Oh, and in the event that this case somehow survives this motion (which I really doubt), can you imagine the depositions and discovery?

Did you defecate on the floor?
Did you ever defecate on the floor in college?
Did you ever relieve yourself on a floor?
The depositions would have been epic in scatological references.
