'Trampire:' Why the Public Slut Shaming of Kristen Stewart Matters for Young Women

re: #6 Joanne (JustJay)

They never “officially confirmed” they were in a relationship, but it was quite obvious and common knowledge, mostly due to the paparazzi.

Worse even, both Stewart and the director admitted to this and said they did nothing more than play kissy-face.

Just looking at the pictures, it looks a little more serious than “play kissy-face.” At a minimum, serious making out, and the pictures make it look like it certainly went further than that. Also, while she says it was a one time thing, many others, including the director’s brother-in-law (that is, his wife’s brother) say it was going on for months, starting back when they were filming the movie.

So again, the double standard is completely unfair bullshit. The director deserves to be shamed as much as Stewart. But I think the backlash to the slut-shaming is making it seem like there shouldn’t really be any shame, when I think there clearly should be plenty of shame …..just for both sides, not just one.
