Seriously, when the Magical Wonderland of the 1950s gave way to the 1960s, and folks for whom the 50s weren’t such a magical wonderland started demanding to have a shot at sharing the magical wonderland. It coincided with the rise in crime that mysteriously stopped in the early 1990s and has been reversing ever since, but you wouldn’t know it to talk to gun nuts, who seem to think that an unarmed person anywhere at any time WILL BE MURDERED!!!
