When I was younger and didn’t have insurance (my first wife and) I went to Mexico to buy antibiotics…Ampicillin, Augmentin, etc. We stocked up. That was during the 90s. If I was uninsured again, I’d make the road trip to keep myself protected.

With Walmart generics available, the gas money might not make the trip worthwhile. Not unless he found some friends to split with.
