In Jewish tradition, the one year anniversary of a death is a very significant milestone…it realeases mourners from ‘official’ mourning, where-if it is a close relative-the mourner abstains from going to weddings, other ‘simchas’ (happy events), buying new clothes and listening to music, or hosting parties. I hope this day passes for you and your father with strength and good memories.
