Jesus H. Christ with chicken salad. Look, I’m nominally pro-death penalty, but waiting on death row for 39 years is cruel and unusual punishment, no matter how the death is meted out. Honestly, if we don’t have the means to execute them immediately following their final appeal, it’s effectively a life-in-prison sentence anyway.
