I worked in government a long time. A large percentage of the workload is fluff work. Actual work for the people can be done in four days or less, especially with the internet. Emergency services excepted. Look at the hours Judges keep. Anyone sneezes they will call it a day and go home early. Modern Government is essentially an over complication of society that provides employment and over regulation of the rest of the country. Example would be any Federal government institutions and it’s volumes of manuals and it’s inability to react to an individual.
