Yeah I’m not seeing anything about Bernie that makes me think that. I do have concerns about Biden’s age as well but I don’t doubt his knowledge of the issues. I think Bernie even if he’s well meaning would have us in an endless stream of court challenges, Congressional blockings, etc. He’s not going to be able to handle Congress not doing what he wants and he’s not going to have a capable team surrounding him.

Which is of course concern #2 that my Bernie-lovin’ friends don’t like talking about: after all those years in Congress, what evidence is there that he has the skills he’d need to make deals and get imperfect, pragmatic real-world bills passed?

For as few years as Obama had been in the Senate, that was clearly a skill he possessed in droves. It’s a plus, to my mind, for Klobuchar, Gillibrand and Harris right now - and especially for Sherrod Brown if he gets in.
