Right. They kept waiting to be “captured” so that they could receive aid as a defeated country, but everyone in NYC ignored them (in plate armor and carrying halberds, again!!). They wandered up to Columbia and captured Doctor Kokintz (who had a lovely daughter, hubba hubba!).

They couldn’t FIND anyone to surrender to because everybody was in bomb shelters during the testing of the Q-Bomb.
