It’s the same thing with the bonuses. Obama professes outrage over Wall Street handing out billions in bonuses, but ignores that those billions get spent in the NYC metro region, pumping billions into the local economy. It’s a huge stimulus package.

That’s lost revenue that the City and state have to make up. The reason that the City and State are frakked is because they don’t have the Wall Street income to rely upon, so they’re instead considering raising all manner of tax and fee to balance the out of control spending.
