Another canard I wish would die. A whole lot of very responsible people who did make those plans are now rowing without paddles thanks to the wall street wizards who created the melt-down that wiped out their retirement accounts and their home values. This BS meme about those irresponsible people who are now broke through no fault of their own really pisses me off.

Notice also that the Wall Street/Banks holding mortgages have only, potentially, lost assets equivalent to how much in the hole a mortgage is, which is generally much less than the total value loss of a property if it had equity to begin with as most did.

They still claim the right to receive interest on the full loan, or repossess the property, as if they are exempt from the full consequences of their own doing.
