I addressed the cost issues below; under all three variations - the cost - how much that annual care to the family depicted will be about the same in 2016 whether we do nothing, something, or go part way.

The costs aren’t changing - only who’s paying what portion. It’s about who subsidizes which groups, and how much the subsidy will be. And in the end, all taxpayers will be on the hook for subsidizing the program because regardless of all the claims that the middle class wont get hit with tax hikes to pay for health care, they most certainly are - the penalty provisions will, as will allowing the expiration of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts.
