It’s a funny thing; I saw the series and, aside from a few murders here and there (come now, we’re all men of the world, we can take a broad, general view of things) he struck me as being about as close to the type of person you’d want in charge of things. That reptilian side to his character tells me he would, under the appropriate circumstances, do ANYTHING, and that is the secret of power.

And he’s charming and erudite. And he does asides, but no one give HIM grief for it.
