you folks never stop to think that Congress (the democrats in Congress) made that hard by not allowing drilling, nuclear energy, etc. ?

That why I said the point is essentially mute. Both physical events and our allegiance to the Saudis has been going on for decades. Obama and the Democrats are as you said more relevant.
