About 10 years ago a local show promoter went on the air and told a story about having to shepherd Jim Mangrum around Dallas when he was in town for a show - this was waaaaaay after Black Oak Arkansas’s heyday, it was like in the 90’s.

He said Mangrum made him buy a massive amount of junk food and pornographic magazines, then left him alone in a hotel room for a couple of hours before the show. When the promoter went to pick him up for the show, the entire hotel room was covered in empty snack food wrappers and diarrhea.
