As I noted the other day, that is the wingnut viewpoint: Access to healthcare is not a right, it’s a privilege, one that is reserved only to those with large bank accounts. If you’re poor or needy, then you’re taking up time and resources that could be spent on those with the means to afford it. It’s a fucked up “survival of the fittest” mindset, ironically enough adopted by the people who will be the first to argue that evolution is a hoax.
